2nd Story Associates

THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE FOR SOMEONE’S SECOND STORY.

2nd Story Associates was born out of recognition of the growing need for quality affordable housing and supportive services in Santa Barbara. 2nd Story collaborates to create affordable housing in the Santa Barbara community. These developments seek to enhance the quality of life of low-income families, seniors and disabled individuals with an emphasis on promoting stability and self-sufficiency.

Our Work

Together with you, we are helping families and vulnerable members of our community connect with critical resources that will enable them to experience safety, stability, and a good quality of life.

Resident lives are transformed by the support and stability of affordable housing and related services. We are proud of our efforts to strengthen our community and are grateful for many new opportunities on the horizon.

HACSB & 2nd Story Makes Sure Kids are Equipped with Tools for School

The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara (HACSB), in partnership with its nonprofit affiliate 2nd Story Associates, hosted the 13th Annual Tools for School event recently, distributing some 400 backpacks filled with school supplies to about 200 families.

Tools for School is an event for HACSB youth and families aimed at providing academic and other school-related resources to families in advance of the new school year. More than 20 local youth-serving agencies attended, providing resource information to families. Free backpacks filled with school supplies were provided to Housing Authority youth through a grant and partnership with U.S. Bank.
